The Fruit of God's Life
Then they spread
to the Mediterranean
countries and finally to North, South and Central America. They need lots of
sunshine and warmth.
The
flowers of citrus fruits are white with five petals. They have a sweet perfume.
The rind of citrus fruits is yellow, green, or 
orange,
and it is very strong and hard. The rind also contains an oil that is used in
making perfume.
So many kinds of fruits, and how they have spread over the world! The fruit of God the Holy Spirit is like that. God=s Life has the qualities of love, joy, peace, longsuffering (or patience), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. As we who know the Saviour stay in the sunshine of God=s presence by reading His Word, and praying, and going to a good Bible believing, Bible teaching church, the fruit of God=s Life ripens in us. We are then made a sweet fragrance of Christ in the world. Furthermore we are made tough against the evil of the world.
God
wants to produce His Life in you. Do you belong to Him through faith in the Lord
Jesus who died for your sins and arose again?
As you yield yourself to Him, like the branch yields itself to the tree, God will produce His wonderful Life, the fruit of the Spirit in you. May God help you to do it!
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. . .
Galatians 5:22-23
